What we collect, and what we don't.

The short version

We collect email addresses, and only because you typed one into a form. We don't track you around the internet, we don't set cookies, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.

What we collect

There are three places on this site where you can give us information, and all three are forms you choose to fill in:

• Pre-order capture. Your email address, when you enter it before we send you to the book's Amazon listing.

• Tester claim. Your email address and the Amazon order number you enter, so we can check the pre-order and send your app invite.

• Weekly email. Your email address, when you sign up for the weekly reading.

That's the whole list. We don't ask for your name, your address, or your payment details — and we never handle payment for the book. That happens entirely on Amazon.

What we don't do

• No analytics. This site runs no tracking or measurement scripts of any kind.

• No cookies. The site sets none, and stores nothing in your browser.

• No advertising, no ad networks, no tracking pixels.

• No selling, renting, or trading your information. Ever.

Who else is involved

Two third parties are unavoidable, and you should know about both:

• Supabase. Hosts the database your email address is stored in. It is stored in the United States.

• Google Fonts. This site loads two typefaces from Google's servers, which means your browser makes a request to Google and Google can see your IP address when a page loads.

• Amazon. The pre-order links go to Amazon. Once you're there, Amazon's own privacy policy governs everything that happens.

How it's protected

The credentials this website carries in your browser can add a row to our list and nothing else. They cannot read the list back, edit it, or delete from it — that restriction is enforced by the database itself, not by the website being polite. So even someone who copied every key out of this page's source could not retrieve a single email address.

Removing your information

Ask, and we'll delete it. You don't have to explain why, and you don't have to be a customer.

A monitored address for these requests has not been published yet. Until it is, this promise is one we cannot actually keep — which is exactly why it needs to be filled in before launch.

The app is separate

This policy covers this website. The Simple Discipleship mobile app has its own accounts, its own data, and its own privacy policy — nothing described here applies to it.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we change this page and update the date at the top. This policy is published by Simple Discipleship.
