These terms describe how the site actually works, but the responsible legal entity still has to be named and a lawyer should review them before launch.

Using this site

This site is free to use. Read it, follow the rhythm, start a group, hand the method to anyone you like — that is what it's for, and you need no permission from us to do it.

Buying the book

We don't sell Simple Discipleship and we never handle your payment. The pre-order links send you to Amazon, and from that point everything — the price, the payment, delivery, cancellation, refunds, and the Pre-order Price Guarantee — is between you and Amazon under their terms. We can't change or refund an order, because we never had it.

Early access to the app

We offer tester access to the app to people who pre-order. Some honest caveats about that:

  • Test builds are unfinished software. Expect bugs, and expect things to change or disappear between builds.

  • Test data may be wiped. Don't treat an early build as the only place something important is stored.

  • Access is at our discretion and may end at any time, including when the app launches publicly.

  • Invites are sent manually, so there may be a delay between your pre-order and your invite arriving.

Tester access is a thank-you, not something you are buying. Your pre-order is a purchase of the book from Amazon, and it stands on its own regardless of what happens with the app.

What's ours and what isn't

The writing, design, and artwork on this site belong to Simple Discipleship. The method itself — read, listen, write, share — is not something we claim ownership of, and we would be delighted for you to teach it to anyone. Scripture quoted here belongs to the translation it came from and carries that translation's own licence.

No warranty

This site is provided as it is. We try hard to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be either, and we are not liable for loss arising from using it. Nothing here is legal, financial, medical, or counselling advice.

The app has its own terms

These terms cover this website. The Simple Discipleship mobile app is a separate product with its own terms and its own accounts.

Changes, and reaching us

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when we last did. A contact address for questions about these terms has not been published yet.
